Hoboken children under the age of 18 will have access to complimentary lunches in several city parks starting on Monday, July 10.
Backed by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture, the Summer Food Service Program provides free, nutritious meals and snacks to help children in low-income areas get the nutrition they need to learn, play and grow throughout the summer months when they are out of school.
“The summer foods program in Hoboken continues to be an essential part of the array of services the City offers to Hoboken residents during the summer months,” 5th Ward Councilman Phil Cohen told TAPinto Hoboken.”
In Hoboken lunches are available Monday through Friday, from 12 pm to 1:30 p.m. at Columbus Park, 7th & Jackson Resiliency Park, and Madison Street Park.
